Even though I haven’t done many posts with them on, I’m clearly a “kicks” girl (see: Instagram). I’ve coveted sneakers since I was a kid and my collection continues to grow into my adulthood. Some of my favorites are a pair of Jordan 3’s and Air Max ’95’s. Within the last few years, I’ve become pretty obsessed with Nike Dunk Sky Hi’s. If you’ve been following along, you’ve probably seen my small but growing collection. The one I’m wearing here are my most recent pick-ups and my absolute favorite of Sky Hi’s that I own thus far. I love the rose gold color and snake-skin like material. Let’s not forget how comfy they are despite the wedge. Runner up is a pair of Nike x Liberty London floral ones I bought a few years back. I’m pretty obsessed. Wedge kicks have been popular for quite some time now but these dunks seem to have won me over from the rest. I’d have to say though, the Isabel Marants aren’t too far behind…
Because they’re already so flashy, I chose to wear these sneakers with denim on denim and topped it off with an Altuzarra for Target faux fur jacket that I’ve been eyeing since the release. I finally got it when it went on clearance. Gotta love Targét (Tarjayyyyy)!
One of my favorite shades for Fall has got to be Burgundy. A lot of times I’ll mix similar shades of the same color family (like the pants and jacket) so that it doesn’t look too uniform… At 30 years old, I aim not to go for the schoolgirl look, although I can often pass for one.
For me, the theme this fall has been laid back and oversized. I love how this vest is both of these things, yet still streamlined and sleek and perfect to wear over a light plaid top on an unusually mild October day. Another thing you’ll see me wearing often this season is black denim. I’m in jeans a lot, but black and distressed is my jam. It’s just so easy to wear.
Now that it’s “sweater season” I’ve been frequently searching for ones that are both versatile as well as comfy. Recently, during one of my visits to Marshalls, I found this sporty-chic AIKO colorblock pullover with side zips which retails at $230, but snagged for $49.00 (yay me)! It’s super soft and cozy and the colorblock detail plus side zips make it so much more interesting than other “typical” pullovers. I can definitely see myself pairing this sweater with different jeans and skirts all season long! Loving my latest #fabfound!
Hi guys! Just wanted to let you know about a new Marshalls store opening in Waltham, Mass. this Thursday, October 9th. I got a chance to check out the store before they opened and let me tell you it’s chocked full of #fabfound goodies (photos below)! If you’re already following me via Twitter, you may already know that I’ll actually be there on opening day between 1pm-3pm greeting folks and giving out gift cards to those who tell me the code phrase, “I heart Marshalls.” There’ll be other giveaways going on throughout the day, as well as a DJ and the Cookie Monstah food truck! It’s going to be a good time and trust me, the merchandise is fabulous (I especially love that the clothing hangers are size specific so that I can go directly to my section)! I’ve already got my eyes on a few items from pretty much every department! I hope to see you guys there!
I’ve been living in my over-the-knee boots like I knew I would be… Thank goodness that they have a low heel. I’ve been wearing them with pretty much everything. (Note to self: get back-up pair.) There’s something about this knit sweater paired with dainty lace (it’s a dress, btw) plus luxe suede and rocker-girl fringe that I love. It all creates the perfect storm- a match made in stylish Fall Heaven that I just couldn’t resist.
Do you love this H&M fringe bag as much as I do? If the answer is yes, scroll down and enter to win your own.
(P.s. I am not affiliated with H&M. I just love this bag and thought you should have one too!)
One of my favorite things to do is shop… More specifically online shop. I love not having to deal with the crowds and lines you often find at the malls and coming home from a long day at work to find a nice package (or two) on your doorstep is not so bad either. My favorite places to shop online are the retailers who offer free shipping and returns. In the event that something doesn’t fit when it arrives, I can send it back with no problems (or fees).
Here’s a compilation of the items that I’m currently lusting over, some of which I’ve already purchased. There’s lots of coats, booties and even a few home items (since I’m still decorating the “crib”). Check back often to see the items I’ve got my eye on… I’m thinking of making this a weekly post if you guys really enjoy it. Happy shopping!
Happy 1st of October, ya’ll! I can’t believe there’s only 3 months left of the year. My, how time flies!
Currently I’m in an “All Things Fall” mode- Starbucks lattes (soy, of course), burgundy tones, fringe, ankle booties… and capes. But not just any cape. THIS cape blazer, actually. With its long lapels and structured shoulders, this minimalistic yet modern take on your everyday cape screams effortlessly-chic. It’s classic yet edgy so I guess you can say… It’s me.
You can probably tell from my last few posts that I’ve got a thing for sweatshirts and pullovers. I’m usually in a hurry to get dressed and get out the door (hence the minimal makeup) and now that the weather here is cool enough, I find that they’re the easiest thing to wear. Whether you layer something underneath it or over it, sweatshirts are the must-have piece to have in your wardrobe this Fall, especially for us girls on the go. Just slap on your favorite lippy and you’re certified “effortlessly-chic.”
Ps. Yes, I am wearing white after Labor Day. My general rule of thumb for wearing white is just don’t do it if it’s raining or snowing, otherwise wear what you want whenever you want.
