Now that cooler temps are here to stay for a while I’ve been getting into full, “Operation: Get my closet ready for Fall” mode. I’ve been really looking into heavier coats and layering pieces, and over-sized coats have really been my weakness this season (expect to see them on me often). My other slight obsession, handbags, have been on the radar as well. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect Fall bag. Deep reds and maroons are definitely my go-to colors when it comes to Fall. Not only did this bag fit the color requirement I was looking for, but it’s also versatile and easy to carry (as a tote or a shoulder bag. I love how it’s so lightweight but it also holds it’s shape very well. The best thing about this bag- I didn’t pay full retail price for it. It’s by Calvin Klein, found at none other than my favorite discount retailer, Marshalls. Cost was $119.99 compared at $238.00… Score.
Hurry to your local Marshalls if you’re looking for a deep red purse for Fall… I saw tons when I was there.
Here are some highlights from a photo shoot I recently did with Marshalls featuring some of my favorite items from their Fall inventory. I’m especially excited about the muted tones in flowy pieces (great for layering) and being able to wear leather and suede moto jackets again. Also the pops of metallics in the accessories are pretty irresistible. There’s also that animal print tote that I was dying over during Project fab when I first saw it too… Try not to drool.
Because I love you guys so much, here’s another giveaway!

Looks like it’s farewell to Summer. This will probably be the last time this year that I’ll be able to wear short shorts like these… real tears I recently found them at Marshalls and knew it would go great with this flutter sleeve top. The best part was that they were on clearance. If you’re looking for pieces to add to your wardrobe for next year and do not want to have to break the bank, now would be the time to do it. Most stores are trying to get rid of their Summer inventory to make room for Fall stuff so you should be able to score some really great pieces at amazing prices… Take it from me, the self-proclaimed Master Bargain Shopper. Happy Hunting!
I’m also very happy to be announcing that I’m partnering with Gold West Vintage and a couple of other Boston Bloggers to give away some gorgeous vintage cocktail rings! This is an Instagram-only giveaway so make sure you check out my Insta page @belleofthebean and find the post that looks like the one below for instructions on how to enter. There’ll be 3 different winners so go enter now! xx
Well, it doesn’t feel like Fall is coming any time soon, at least not for the next week or so, and this girl is not complaining. I’m a lover of warm weather. Although I know that I live in New England and colder weather is promised, I’ll take these balmy high 80’s days for as long as they’ll stay around. I’ll just slowly start the transition into a Fall… Starting with a little plaid and cobalt blue.
Let’s talk about this bag though… The lovely folks over at Marshalls picked it out for me and thought it was just my style. And guess what, they were right! I absolutely love cobalt blue for Fall. It’s a bold, energizing shade and a nice change from a lot of the darker, Fall colors we tend to see. I’m also loving the super soft leather, suede and the snake print detail. The mix of cobalt blue and maroon was the perfect accessory to tie this whole outfit together! Did I mention that it also comes with a strap to convert as a cross-body? This bag is mixture of all things amazing and I’m pretty much enamored by it! (Check your local Marshalls for this amazing bag.)
Do you shop at Marshalls? What do you usually shop for there (outfit, bags, shoes, home decor, etc.)? Do share! xx

The end of Summer is nearing and although I’m always sad to see it go, I’m so excited for Fall fashion. Luckily we’ve had some really good, comfortable weather lately so light, flowy clothing has been welcomed.
I’ve been keeping busy with work and decorating around the house. While unpacking, I discovered these heels from Aldo that I’ve had for over 10 years! Talk about vintage…

It’s no mystery that I love to play with prints. But what’s even better is rockin’ a print that I actually made, like this tie-dye chambray shirt I have tied around my waist. Learn how to make your own tie-dye denim HERE. Don’t forget to let me know how it came out if you do try it! Happy DIY’ing!
I’m coveting all things dropped waist because it works great on my body type. I’m petite with a short torso so the lowered waist evens out my proportions a little better… Hope you all had a great weekend! xx
If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you might already know that I had the wonderful opportunity of joining Marshallsand their online venture, “Project Fab.” A few weeks ago, I got together with Marshalls and a group of other fab bloggers to attend a little “bootcamp” right here in Boston. It was two days of pure fun, I tell ya… (I might do a separate post to recap the events.) Anyhow, here’s a dress I wore to Day 1 of Project Fab. If you’ve been following along, you may also know that B and I recently moved, so a lot of my clothes are packed in bags and sitting in the basement waiting to be sorted out. With work taking up the majority of my day and it just being Summer and nice out (I can name a few other things I’d rather do other than sit in the basement and unpack), I just haven’t found the time to do it yet. The day before I was supposed to take off to the bootcamp, while packing and planning my outfits, I realized I needed one more outfit to be set for all the festivities they had planned. Instead of digging through my bags, I headed over to a local Marshalls and started hunting. There, I found this dress. It was floral, flounce and FAB. I tried it on and it was perfect.
